My top 4 Exercises for Building Explosive Power in Athletes

One of the most important aspects of athletic performance is explosive power, which allows athletes to generate maximum force in a short amount of time. In this article, I will share with you my top 4 exercises that can help build explosive power for athletes.

  1. Power Cleans: Power cleans are a popular Olympic weightlifting movement that focuses on explosiveness and full-body power. This exercise is performed by starting in a squat position and then quickly pulling the barbell up towards the chest with an explosive hip extension. This movement targets the entire posterior chain, including the glutes, hamstrings, and back muscles, and helps to improve the rate of force development.
